TRINEFLEX aims to support the transformation of energy-intensive industries (EIIs), by providing an end-to-end service to manage the digital lifecycle of plants and the transition processes towards flexible and sustainable operations. 

TRINEFLEX will be implemented in five demonstration cases with unique challenges. These demonstration cases belong to four industrial sectors: glass, copper, aluminium, and water industries. The implementation will be supported through the integration of transformative technologies (energy efficiency, clean energy, sustainable fuels and raw materials, and CO2 capture), synergized with advanced digital solutions to demonstrate flexibility measures leading towards energy neutrality. Additionally, TRINEFLEX is designed for rapid replicability within these sectors and high transferability to other sectors included in the P4Planet partnership interested in short-term energy flexibility and long-term industrial symbiosis.
