SPW-Recherche represents Wallonia within the Belgian R&D ecosystem and ensures the relays of European programs.  SPW Recherche implements and manages mechanisms to support industrial research activities in private companies, universities and research centres both at the regional and international levels.

It supports Walloon companies, universities and research centres in their participation in federal, European and international programs. Notably, SPW-EER participates to several ERA.NET (ERA-MIN3, M-ERA.NET) and Horizon Europe European Partnerships such as Eurostars, EP Permed, CETP partnership, CHIPS JU and the forthcoming OH-AMR, Rare Diseases, Pandemic prepardeness and Raw materials partnerships.
