Alexandra received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from University of Vienna and has held research associate and industry positions in the UK. In 2017, she formed Simperler Consulting to provide various services around Materials Modelling. She often works with Goldbeck Consulting on both Horizon Europe and H2020 projects.

She is involved in facilitating the interaction and collaboration between members of the European Materials Modelling Council (EMMC).
