Marco Papasizza is a R&D project manager in Hydrogen Technologies at Tecnalia, the leading applied R&D institute in Spain.
He is involved in the EU-funded CLEANHYPRO (coordinated by Tecnalia), the first Open Innovation Test Bed in electrolysis technology. Marco’s interests are in electrochemical technologies and Power-to-X, including hydrogen, CO2 derivatives and ammonia, with a focus on advanced materials and upscaling.
He obtained his PhD in 2020 from the University of Aberdeen with a thesis on CO2 electrolysis in ionic liquids. Before joining Tecnalia in 2023, Marco worked in a start-up company in France developing an innovative electrochemical technology for harvesting osmotic energy.
