Marco Monti has been working in Proplast as a R&D project manager since 2011. Since 2016, he is also member of Proplast’s cluster management team, with special focus on supporting internationalization activities of SMEs. He obtained his degree in Materials Engineering in 2005 and his PhD in Material Nanotechnology in 2009 at University of Perugia (Italy), where he kept working as a postdoc researcher until 2011. During his academic career, he was visiting scientist at Polytechnic Institute of NYU (New York) and at Tecnalia technology centre (San Sebastian – Spain). His research interest is in polymer sustainability, with specific focus on recycling, biopolymers and biocomposites. It also includes fiber reinforced composites, nanocomposites, electric and dielectric properties.
