Since 2008 Prof. Dr. Reiner Kurzhals is a serial Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence entrepreneur and since 2000 Professor for Data Science at the University of Applied Sciences Münster, Germany.

After selling his first AI startup 4tree.com in 2015 to McKinsey & Company in New York, he sold his next multiple award ML/AI Startup Westphalia DataLab in 2022 to thyssenkrupp AG in Essen/Germany, where he is since then Chief Product Officer of the designated Industrial AI Pioneer pacemaker.ai by thyssenkrupp AG, scaling AI SaaS products into the industrial world market.

Reiner’s Team is the owner of Europe’s largest AI Award “German AI Award, Berlin 2020, by WELT/Springer publisher”.
