Liviu ȘTIRBĂȚ, is the Head of Unit for AI in Science in the DG for Research and Innovation at the European Commission.

He worked previously as Member of Cabinet of EVP Margrethe Vestager in charge of innovation, space, and sustainability. He was Deputy Head of EU Adaptation to Climate Change, and also Deputy Head for better regulation for Horizon Europe. Before the European Commission, he worked at the OECD and the World Bank.
