Pascal Metivier is Syensqo group Head of Research & Innovation, based in Paris. In this role he manages all group R&I corporate activities.

Before this, he did spend 10 years in Asia where he set up the group research & development footprint, particularly building and developing research activities in China, Korea & India.

From 2000 to 2007, he was successively the research and innovation directors of 2 business units of the group (Phosphorus and Performance Derivatives and then Novecare) where he did contribute to major development of new product sales for these 2 businesses.

Before this he held various positions in research, plant improvement and business development
for various activities of the group (Pharmaceuticals, Aroma products, polyamide, Silicones,
polyurethanes).

Pascal Metivier received his PhD from University Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg and spent 18
months as visiting scientist in Purdue University (USA), working on Computer assisted organic
synthesis using heuristic models. Before this, he studied at “Ecole Européenne des Industries
Chimiques” in Strasbourg.
