MACRAMÉ-ChiPs
The MACRAMÉ Project (Advanced Characterisation Methodologies to assess and predict the Health and Environmental Risks of Advanced Materials) started in December 2022, and will present its first milestones and results in the context of its ambitious R&I Strategy; these include the set-up of a MACRAMÉ Control-Material Library, the full documentation of material-flow, sample-exchange and all related conditions and timelines, captured in the MACRAMÉ Information Hub in the form of instance maps under the oversight of a Data Shepherd, and the MACRAMÉ Harmonisation & Standardisation Roadmap for MACRAMÉ Methods and Models. All of thee will ultimately contribute the development of a MACRAMÉ Safety & Sustainability Matrix.
In January 2024, three closely related projects commenced, design to complement each other and the work of MACRAMÉ: ChIPs = CHIASMA (Accessible Innovative Methods for the Safety & Sustainability Assessment of Chemicals & Materials), INSIGHT (Integrated Models for the Development and Assessment of High Impact Chemicals and Materials), and PINK (Provision of Integrated Computational Approaches for Addressing New Market Goals for the Introduction of Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design Chemicals and Materials) will generate new conceptual approaches to integrate NAMs and data for the next generation of hazard- & risk assessment of chemicals and materials.
